About

Course Goal

Our course seeks to examine and critically analyze the ways in which major tech companies support and celebrate LGBTQ+ culture within a larger organizational culture. We aim to understand the organizational policies and gendered communication in these spaces to promote equity and radical inclusivity.

"I generally did not put much thought into some important aspects involving archiving/appreciating Queer history, especially because I did not see much of this while growing up where I did. Seeing all of the value placed upon the Queer history and landmarks in Seattle made me realize I should pay more attention and place more value upon the cultural history around me, and appreciate the people who work so hard to preserve and share it."

Our Seattle Educators

Seattle is a vibrant city that celebrates diversity and supports LGBTQ+ culture and community. We were lucky to learn with experts in their fields about exciting industries while considering how identities intersect in personal and professional spaces.

A special thanks is offered to the guest speakers that educated, fed, and loved us on this journey!
